1808 Perizoma flavofasciata (Sandy Carpet)

Geometridae, Larentiinae - Wingspan: 18-22mm.

A common species which is regularly seen every year in the Spring. As time goes by, the patterns on the wings fade quite markedly, but they are still quite easy to identify. It occurs where-ever the larval food plant, Campions (Silene spp.) grow.

The flight season ranges from April to August, peaking in June.
