Geometridae, Larentiinae - Wingspan: 20-26mm.

A Nationally Scarce species on the UK B-list, and has a distinctive wing pattern making identification easy. It is found in the south and west regions as well as some central areas. In Cornwall, the distribution pattern continues, with most records being in the west, with occasional records centrally occurring in the county.

The flight season for this species is quoted as Late May to Early July for the UK, but in Cornwall it is primarily June to July, with an occasional individual being seen in May or August.
