1922 Ourapteryx sambucaria (Swallow-tailed Moth)

Geometridae, Ennominae Wingspan: 44-60mm.

This common beautiful moth occurs throughout the UK, and is also seen everywhere in Cornwall. It is often seen flying around shrubs at dusk, but comes to light as well.

The flight season in the UK is from June to August.
