What is so good is that it is right in the heart of the small city.

Very well chosen PoV along the wall of the palace allowing the reflected wall to be show to best effect. I wonder if the windows on the left-hand tower of the entrance are a later addition? They look a little out of place in what I presume to be a defensive structure. A nice pair of images to be sure Rosa.

I would think you are right about the window Doug. The towers were most likely symmetrical to start with. An interesting point though and I will try to find out. Thanks also for your kind comments. I hope you have a good week too.

Well done John. They always used to train a swan to pull the rope of a bell, but not sure if that is still the case.

Hi Rosa,

I like this pair of castle pictures very much. It is fascinating how or why they are not symmetrical, with a bay window in one. Perhaps it was an afterthought for the bishop to sit in the sun when there was no fighting!! (Although I notice it faces north west!!)
