A wonderful setting, in their day they would have been very advanced technology and more reliable than windmills a huge advance on grinding by hand. Where you able to goto the different levels. I hope you are having a nice morning, it's a thick drizzle at Groby. Where my 'Fine Dining' shot was taken is gritstone there are a lot of part made grinding wheels about

Thanks for your kind comments Peter. Yes we were allowed on all levels inside the mill. It was so interesting. No fine dining outside for you today then! No rain here at the moment.

Yesterdays shot was more about the location, this one is very much about the mill. It looks absolutely beautiful here - I love the vibrant red roof tiles and the old brickwork is still very lovely. I like the way you've framed the shot through the surrounding foliage and there's a hint of some nice reflections in the pond. The PiPs showing the interior are fascinating.

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Keith Burton club
I think you are right Keith. There were not many spaces between the trees along this particular footpath but the only space I found certainly gave a good photo opportunity. Great comments Keith, thank you.

The building, Rosa, is framed perfectly by the foliage and the water. I love the colour contrast between the building and the leaves. Cheers, Joe

Thank you Gudrun. Yes the shop is just a corner of the mill, which is nice. I met up with my daughter in Wells today, so some pictures from there to upload tomorrow.

Hey Rosa, Fantastic shot here. NOW THIS could be a painting for sure. you captured it so well.
Your POV was perfect, with trees framing the Mill. and what I like a lot in this shot is the old brick of the Mill. It just makes the photo stand out to me. Hope things are well with you, have a good weekend coming up. Best wishes, Sarah

Such a beautiful image! It could be a painting or a calendar, or even a postcard for the mill..
You have captured the vegetation so nicely, I am lost for words!!
