Yes I hope so too John ;-)) Always seems to be scaffolding somewhere, but good to see them keeping the building safe and beautiful.

A nice open approach to the cathedral and unusual cathedral precincts are not normally that large, the clouds look rather ominous I hope you kept dry. I hope your day is going well Rosalyn after a wet start it's been a nice day and warm

I think this green is a little bigger than at Salisbury Cathedral Peter. It did seem so to me. We had no rain, despite the heavy clouds. In fact it was quite warm as well. We even sat outside with our coffee and snacks!

That is a fantastic looking cathedral.........................a shame about the scaffolding but there's nothing to be done about that. It doesn't detract from the photo too much.

Such a wonderful lush green space in front of the cathedral...........just the place for jousting, cricket matches and fetes!

Always a bit of a disappointment when the scaffolding is up, but also good to see the restoration and upkeep going on. I wouldn't be surprised if they had events on the green Keith. I will have to keep an eye out for that!

A photo of the green from this side is unusual but it looks very good! I should look both ways more often...I assume we can expect more scaffolding on the cathedral in the coming years, but as long as it's restricted to such a small area it doesn't detract from the beauty of the facade.

I wasn't sure if it would work Gudrun, with the large expanse of green, but the buildings surrounding it show up quite well. I am pleased you like it, thank you. Yes probably an ongoing thing with the scaffolding. I seems it was put there quite recently as it wasn't there in Jeff's photo taken in August.

Great view across the lush sea of green Rosa. The figures on the path help with the scale of the view. It is a shame about the scaffolding but it does not detract too much for the beauty of the building.

Certainly very green grass considering the dry summer we had, and a fascinating sky too. What really works for me is the lawnmower lines in the grass which kind of lead the eye into the picture. Very clever!!
