There used to be a station in my nearest town of Wincanton Peter. Long gone now and they even pulled down the Railway Inn :-( Just nondescript houses there now!

Including the driver like this is a nice way to redeem the 'tender first' situation.
Yes, it is disappointing when it comes this way round, but since preserved railways very rarely turn the locos between workings, almost half the journeys are tender first! Generally, we give those a miss, and use the time to travel to somewhere else for the next picture.
But, if you are only there to see one train, what can you do!
