I expect you are right about the lake John. The railway station is superb and the trip up to the top of Snowdon was brilliant. I would love to do it again.

I always get excited when I see a place I know! I have lost count of how many times I climbed Snowdon, but living there helps!! If I knew you were there, we could have met for a beer!
I'll try and dig out some of the photos from there, loads were on Pano, but we don't have that any more.
Certainly a nice capture!

It was a great holiday Pat. The landscape is amazing.

I have been up Snowdon loads of times in the 70s and 80s. Occasionally we followed the railway line but never took the train. Nor did I take my camera on climbing trips then! Now I regret that but it was too big and cumbersome to climb with.

It was the first visit for me Andy and enjoyed it so much...on the train that is ;-) It goes right to the top now. A wonderful experience.

A wonderful landscape Rosalyn, it's not somewhere I have ever visited, will you be walking up next time ?? I got wet today very strange !! at least it was fresher today, tomorrow is supposed to be wet, whatever you do I hope you enjoy it

I think it's the clouds that give an atmospheric feel Joe, and as we travelled up the mountain it became cloudier, but it was an amazing trip. Something I had always wanted to do. A breathtaking landscape shot! That looks like a very narrow gauge track and nicely maintained old train.

Yes it is narrow gauge Diane. It takes about an hour to take you to the top. I enjoyed it so much!

Such a beautiful place Keith, as you know. It was the highlight of my holiday. I hope to go again in the not too distant future.

A scene and photo as good as this should be shared Rosa and so I am glad you pulled it out of retirement. As Keith say, wonderful lighting and p.o.v here. I seem to remember that it was very cloudy when I was here many years back now.

Oh yes......wonderful to see your photos Rosa....seen so many movies about snowdonia and the train. Your photos make me longing so much....tha lake looks like an icy mirror and what´s that in the foreground???

I think it is a cairn in the foreground Tanja. I looked it up in German and it says "steinhaufen". This was my first and only visit to Snowdonia and I enjoyed it so much. Thank you for your kind comments.
