Happy Fence Friday

It's still Thursday throughout Canada, but in a mere 20 minutes it'll be Friday in Newfoundland and Labrador, so I'm not jumping the gun by much.

Thanks, Janet. I hadn't thought about the dynamic effect before. The fence is on top of an unusual retaining wall -- it rises diagonally to its maximum height, which may account for a large part of the impression.

The Scottish skiing industry will be there with their shovels in a minute. They've had a really bad year. The one year round patch of snow in the Cairngorms has melted too. I think that's only happened once before.

Well its Friday here and the temperature has dropped from 18c to about 9c. This time last year we had snow and lots of it in some parts of the UK. HFF John. Have a good weekend.

Not good weather for snow, Phil, but it spares the road-clearing budget. Our winters are highly variable, too; The polar jetstream blows over the lower Great Lakes, so if it's north of us we have warm weather and if it's to the south we have cold. All the best for the weekend.
