I like specially the shadow of the tree on the pyramidal concrete construction in the middle:

The combination of the tree, lamp, structure, and shadow is what caught my eye from the street, Xata.

As I mentioned to Xata, this caught my eye from the street. The shadows add some irregularity to the otherwise severe lawn.

You could almost have taken this with a tilt-shift lens - if it weren't for the trees, everything would be geometrically squared up. Or am I imagining things?

There was a rage for modernist building in Toronto for decades following World War II, Fred, urged on by city council. Very few actual modernist buildings resulted, "modernist" often being confused with "boxy". The buildings in back are fairly modernist, though, especially the white one on the right.

Naked trees cast the best shadows.
Which can't be said for humans.
(Sorry, beat you to the punchline. But you might come up with a better one.)
