Now that is a part of Toronto I've never seen - and don't care if I ever see. I could see this in black and white - sort of a Dorothea Lange without the people effect maybe? Or form the Neo-Ashcan School of photography? (It doesn't remind me of Hopper - sorry.)

The Tree Stump School, Bob. All I need now are some pupils.

Those stumps are some fascinating. To me, anyway.

Perfect comment on our species. Filled the place up with junk, trashed nature.

Thanks, Jean. Some years ago developers were allowed to cut down a tree across the street from me that was about five foot across. You could have served a formal dinner on the stump. It could have been incorporated into the development, but I guess they were worried about insurance.

There are places in the city that you do not want to know.

Cut tree, fence, trash can
You can think of so many things.
interesting! !

An unloved corner of Toronto to be sure................but I quite like the bins standing in rows like sentinels..........I just can't think of anything worth guarding!

Thanks, Keith. Torontonians are very orderly. One person at a bus stop will form a queue.

Yes, but knowing Toronto, José, they probably cut down the trees so they can put up a 60-storey condo.

Thanks, Steve. The backyards here (all commercial) are quite interesting; I hope to get more shots from them.

There has been too much tree-cutting in this city, Denis. In my neighbourhood the city, in addition to allowing the cutting down of the tree I mentioned to Jean, recently let a developer cut down 40 or 50 mature trees that were in the way of their apartment towers. They've replaced them by planting 16.

John's bins! All of the places unseen - until you get there with your camera. I like this very much!
