Looks durn cold! And the lady does not seem to want to be in the shot?

I think she was just paying attention, Bob. Or she had good peripheral vision. I was lurking there taking shots of people as they popped out from behind the corner of a building, and all the others were oblivious. I think she was paying attention to her surroundings, noticed me out of the corner of her eye and turned her head. Either that or she was being old-fashioned and looking down a street she was about to cross.

Brandon Bartoczek, who is on here but mainly posts on Flickr, has taken photos of hundreds of cities, towns, and villages in Canada and the US, and has told me that in his experience the bigger the city the less people are bothered by someone taking their picture.

That made the picture for me, Jean. I was fishing here, photographing people as they popped out from behind the corner of a building. When I saw the eye contact in this one, I knew I was done. I turned my camera off and went and got warm.

She didn't seem too worried about it, Ruebenkraut. She probably thought I was just some old guy with nothing better to do than stand out in the cold taking pictures of random people.

Winter arrived late but but has ended up worse than the average winter here. All the best for the weekend.

I like a picture that tells a story, the posture of the man on the right and the expression of the woman on the left!

Thanks, John. I thought they were good counterpoints.

Tea and hot chocolate are better for warming up, I think, Naturist, so it could be either of those two as well. I suspect, though, she's just taking it back to work.
