Pleased you like it, Herb. I passed by this section of garden to use the privy every day when I lived there and never really noticed the photographic potential until just on this day the light was perfect and that window just said to me; 'Take a photo of me and the roses!' So I did!

Thank you, Murray! I know I still have to reply to your many messages but family matters have taken my life over and I will be back in Cornwall for a couple of weeks and will be very busy. So, my response may take longer to get round to than I had hoped. Sorry.

Yes, I fly back on Thursday for two weeks. I can no longer drive (thanks to Brexit) so will be very much based there and doubt if I will have the time or means to get to the coast, but we'll see!

Maaybe there is a bus…

There was a bus in the morning to the county town and one back in the evenng. There was also the same to a town about two miles from the coast which was walkable obviously and which I used for 2 months in 2011 on a very long holiday (no classes and no car as mine had expired while I was in Spain and my dad couldn't afford to put me on their insurance and I couldn't pay for it either!). But only the former bus remains (Council cuts and lack of demand - I recall being frequently the only passenger)
So no. I'll definitely be isolated and effectively stuck!

I will not suggest hitchhiking, LOL!
But maybe you will have an opportunity.
Bloody Brexit made many things difficult, not so important but nevertheless : if I want to buy anything from the UK when it arrives here it is seized by customs and what we have to pay to get the item makes it not worth…
