When the pipistrelle bats come out to feed
Always difficult to video or photo as they are so quick! They do a great service by keeping the mosquito population down. They are normally seen just as the sun sets.
Best on full screen and further enlargement to view the bat!

I have a variety of lenses for my Pentax ME SLR which I haven't used since about 1987! One reason is that I used to rock climb and a heavy camera and lenses would just get damaged so I lost the habit. It is at my parents home in Cornwall and I live in Madrid.
All I have here now is my mobile phone for photos. Not ideal but the quality of shot is a lot better than it used to be.

A glorious sunset sky and that is without the addition of this little bat Andy. I love watching them but as you say they are difficult to dcapture as they are so fast. We used to watch them from my dad's flat swooping around and around in the half light. Fascinating. My daughter rescued one from her cat and it was flying around her house. Fortunately she caught it and soothed it putting it in a box until it recovered and then letting it go again
