But my sister relates that when they bought this place, the next door neighbour who was the son of the builder of three houses in a row (it's a long story) had lived there for 40 years and couldn't understand why they were so amazed by the view!

Very many (perhaps 20 per day each flight of steps up and down), except today for the first time, I'll struggle to reach my target, wave after wave of stormy weather (and much needed rain!).

A fantastic view from your garden, and that BBQ looks very good - did you build it yourself? I miss the sea terribly like you - as I don't have any transport I don't get down to it very often. What I have done though is download the views of the webcams at Westward Ho! so I can see the sea whenever I want. Not exactly the same as being there, but it's the next best thing.

It's not my garden and of course I didn't build it! My brother-in-law's best friend is a builder so he got it done on the cheap!
I used to do the same with webcams at Penzance and Portreath. I might get back to looking at them again, I lost the habit these past few years; thanks for reminding me of their existence!

Yes, I am trying steps as well at the moment as i am not fully fit for longer walks.

I find them useful on the 'mind games' front too as they are easily measurable achievements for targets previously set!

mais......
je vois que tu n'as pas de barre le long du mur pour te tenir....!
si tu glisses en descendant ou en montant tu n'as rien pour te tenir
elle serait très efficace le long du mur à droit quand tu descends .....
