H A N W E yourself. We've been immersed in the BBC coverage of the the Queens death and it's aftermath. Lots of sad stuff and some fascinating history and great pageantry. It'll seem strange having a King. A state funeral to come of course and then back to some sort of normality!

No, although I push myself, I don't overdo it. I'm averaging 20,000 paces a day now in addition to all my various daily physiotherapy exercises and it's all doing me good, I can feel it!
I'm going to do another walk this afternoon, over the fields again but heading towards another neighbouring village, that I've never been to. It's another rather warm day (certainly for mid September) and I'll take plenty of water! The weather is set to change dramatically by midweek with a lot of much needed rain forecast.

A great destination for your walk

I'd been to this village a few times as the nearest hypermarket is situated on its outskirts, but never on foot and never to the centre of the old village where I was surprised by the size and beauty of this church!

Thank you, Rosa. Yes I did another one today - similar length but to the north east of where we live rather than last time to the north west. I wanted to make good use of the remaining summere weather. There was absolutely no-one about so I had no qualms about dispensing with my t-shirt to catch the last of the sun!
I took a photo of the church at this other village today. A nice church but the sun was badly placed for any interesting shots except for one of the frontage which I'll show soon - ish. I agree with you on this church - I was surprised how nice it looked for such a small village!

Yes, just 4 months ago I was having to use a walker just to get me to the car to take me to the hospital!
