They were all so happy that they left presents for Christmas, Cheryl. ;-)

Very good, I like this shot very much.
But why posted at the fag end of 25/12? I would have thought that a day earlier would have been more apt, unless my computer has got VERY slow!
Anyway, I'm sure Santa would have preferred at least a medium sized glass of sherry!
Mind you, it does look very tempting, especially the carrot (as a diabetic, carrots are a complete no-no, apparently as they are the tuber with the highest sugar content - after beetroot, obviously!).

Thanks, Andy. It was posted at the fag end because we were a tad busy o Christmas Day, and this was the fist opportunity I had to be on our machine. And it seems that Santa gets lots of glasses of sherry, and it wouldn't do if he arrived at the end of his journey with a hangover. ;-)

No we just left out sunflower hearts, fat balls, bread, grapes and other oddments ~ first come first served :~) Santa missed the boat xxxx

Nice treat for all, especially the sherry for Santa and no problems with drunken flying of a sleigh. As we all know Rudolph it really the one in charge of that part of the operation:)

Rudolph and the others made short shrift of the carrots, Doug, and i think that sanat was quite OK with thus very small sherry. ;-)

yes, we always leave those in the hearth to refresh Santa and his team too . . .

Sure not. But I remember when I was a child .There was no Santa, we had the Christ Child that brought the gifts and we left tangerines and nuts for him on the table.

Cute shot, Amelia. I've not heard of this tradition, but if I had I might have snuck down the chimney for the sherry and mince pie.

Maybe you can start a new tradition in your household, especially if you have young children in the family.

This is the most important preparation of food for Christmas Eve, John. Not to be forgotten under any circumstances! ;-)

Oh a simple but pleasing presentation ... bravo ... The mince pie and sherry ... what a great treat for Father Christmas ... bet the reindeer were happy as well. :)

We only had duck with all the trimmings followed by syllabub,and a cheeseboard Chris. After all that I somehow felt that I should have stuck to a carrot and a small glass of sherry. ;-)

Santa always likes coming to our house, Guydrun and is so generous. Our youngest grandson was so excited when he came downstairs to find that Santa and his reindeer had eaten this ' feast'.. ;-)
