Preservation of Autumn into Winter

Thank you, Andy. Yesterday I emptied the bucket of 'water' that held the Christmas tree until it was brought indoors. The sides and bottom of the bucket had frozen solid preserving a few oak leaves. Couldn't resist a photo. ;-)

Thank you, George, Until now we have had a very mild December. I much prefer bright cold days, but that's bringing mist and fog to our small island unfortunately.

Until recently it has been very dreary and mild, Gudrun, and very depressing. We didn't even light our sitting room fire on Christmas day - first time for that! It's so much nicer getting some proper winter weather, and who knows we might even get some snow in 2017. ;-)
