The Self-driving car would be rather baffled.

These road triangles are on a corner just outside our house, Esther. Locals know the rules, but the occasional drivers of articulated lorries and buses sometimes get thrown into total confusion, resulting in reversing into garden walls. A self-driving car would end up going round in circles. :-))

I walk past these triangles every day, Paul, so it was an easy find. Our neighbours thought I was rapidly approaching senility when I was out with my camera on a dreary Sunday morning taking photos of the road. ;-)

It seems the lane division does not match the proper British sides of the road.

It's a confusing situation here, Pappy. Non-locals treat this part of the road like a roundabout, and get very confused, but in fact it's for 2-way traffic. It's simple when you know the rules, ;-)

Hmm, not sure I'd know what to do with this signs if I were driving but they sure do make an interesting "face on the road" ... good job Amelia! (like both of your images) :)

It seems over-thought, Chirs, I have to agree with you there. Of course the photo doesn't show the surroundings. That makes it even more confusing. ;-)
