Kington Magna Church ~ HFF
Kington Magna Church stands on a spur of high ground overlooking the Blackmore Vale, Dorset. It dates from 1253 with no trace of an earlier building. A list of all the Rectors and Patrons since 1295 can be found just inside the church door in the south aisle. By 1861, because the church was in a state of general decay and being inadequate to the accommodation of the inhabitants, it was rebuilt the following year, apart from the tower,

This is a lovely looking church Rosa..............I like it's position up on the high ground and the surroundings are beautiful, especially that lush green grass. Great use of leading lines too.

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Keith Burton clubAt the bottom of the hill is an ancient pond. The village used to be around the church but was abandoned after the Black Death of 1348-1350. Now the village is at the bottom of the hill, built up over the centuries.
