La Garza Real de pie, con una pata recogida como acostumbran, te ha quedado muy bonita con las aguas del lago oscuras recogiendo algún reflejo. Volando encoge su cuello y la foto muestra su formidable envergadura, para más detalle, se refleja su sombra en el agua. Te quedó perfecta con la vegetación que, con el agua, la ubican en sus querencias; ave y flora sin trepidación, gracias a la adecuada velocidad de obturación utilizada. Buen jueves Rosa

I lost sight of the heron for a while, but walking around the lake I came across him again and was lucky enough to get a few shots that time. Thank you for your kind comments Jose Manuel.

A super shot of this beautiful looking Heron Rosa............the focus on the eye and the feather detail are perfect and I like the watery background. Good to get the duck in shot too for comparison, but it doesn't seem too impressed.

I like the PiP too.............they look so graceful in flight considering they are big birds. A nicely timed capture with a lovely reflection.

They do have quite a wing span and as you say, more graceful than you would think!

Lovely shot but I'm always surprised to see ducks and herons so close tohgether since herons are known to be partial to the taste of duckling!

I always think there is an element of menace with Herons, they are beautiful birds but there is something about their eyes and the way they stand so still. Very well captured.

I can see what you mean Ed. This one was well outnumbered by ducks and Canada geese and just one swan. Thank you for your kind comments.

He has a really big frown, as if to say, 2Keep that camera away from me." The reflection in the PiP is truly lovely. Difficult to get a photo of this shy bird.
