...Hmmmm... now let me see ... Yes, I'm sure the path went straight across here the last time I passed this way! H. A. N. W. E. everyone!
Photo taken in August 2014. I previously walked this stretch of coast path in the summer of 2010 and the path did indeed go straight across from this point! A massive land slip had occurred in those few years. Porthtowan and St Agnes Beacon can be seen. First posted on ipernity in 2018. Better on large.

The reason is that my mother had some of the books and I thought (aged 15 or so), 'Ah! these might be good!' as I already loved Cornwall. But they were SO BAD that I couldn't bring myself to have anything to do with Poldark and that included the TV series! Sorry!
