High Street ~ Bradford-on-Avon

High Street ~ Bradford-on-Avon
Although I am calling this the High Street it is the B3107 and quite a lot of traffic passes through. Most of the shops and eateries are in The Shambles and the newly renovated pedestrian only areas, of which there are many. My last pictures from BoA....probably! :))

It has been a great tour Rosa and your principal picture here works very well, you were lucky to find a traffic free moment ~ All the best ~ Nick

Thank you very much Nick. There were roadworks on the outskirts, so the traffic lights helped a lot in getting traffic free shots :~)
All the best, Rosa.

Good morning Rosalyn have you got interesting things planned for the day / a bit brighter this morning but still a lot of cloud. I like the contrast between the shaded and sunlit areas in the first shot, enjoy your day

I try to make every day interesting Peter...I don't always succeed :) Thank you for your kind comments. I love the old building in the High Street, but with the bends, hills and traffic, not always easy to capture a decent picture. Have a nice day.

Lovely architecture in both images, Rosa. In the top image, I love the different light levels on the front facades of the buildings. This give a lovely three-dimensional feel to the scene. Cheers, Joe

Two beautiful images. In the main photo I really like the way the light has caught the bulldings on the right hand side........and even on the left hand side the shadows are light enough that we can see all the details of the brickwork. i even like the rubbish bags, as they match the blue of the sky!

I never thought of the rubbish bags in that way Keith...I like them more now :) I quite liked the men at work triangle reflected in the window. Although, there were no men at work there!
Thank you for your kind comments.

I have to agree with Keith about the first image Rosa, a great shot. I like the flags on the on black and white building in the second image, they add a nice splash of colour.

That's very kind Fabio. I live 115 miles (185km) from London and have not been there for 15 years. I prefer small towns and villages. London is so different to the rest of England.
All the best, Rosa.

Both show beautiful architecture and both are wel taken, Rosa.Time to visit Bradford on Avon!
I like the the first picture best because of the light showing charming facades details. It looks peaceful but you wrote it is not. You managed to capture a lovely moment indeed!
Have a nice weekend

Thank you for your lovely comments Adele. The town is peaceful, but has a lively feel to it, especially in the newly renovated areas along the river. Of course the canal is always busy in the summer months. I wish you a nice weekend too :-))

Hi Rosa,

You did well to get rid of all the traffic, people, and everything extraneous from this street! A view which could easily belong to a different time, and such a nice contrast between where the sun shines, and the shadow.
I like it.

Bets wishes
Peter

I does have that feel of being in another time. A very good book shop there and some unusual shops in the quirky area! Thank you for your kind comments.
