Treasures in the Attic!

There's some nice things here, Rosa... I like the painting next to the clock face.... Have I seen this shop before?? ... In the old Pano. days!! ... anyway it's a great shot.

Yes you have John. Well remembered. Unfortunately the shop is only on two floors now, so no going up to the attic. The building itself is so interesting, as with most of them in Lacock. Thanks for your kind comments and good memory....Rosa.

I love the title of the book, 'Wonder Atlas'.
Proper hand drawn atlases and maps have always been a wonder to me; they really stir the imagination in ways that Google maps and GPS simply cannot.

Funny you should mention that Andy. My family seems too have a thing about maps. I have several old linen ones and my brother has a collection as well. Most of them were my fathers. I much prefer a map and notes in the car to a GPS.

I 'd have loved to see this attic shop, Rosa. The atmosphere is nostalgic and sweet and the items are really treasures, very finely captured. This image seems to show how much you like them or just to be there.

Thank you Adele. I was in Lacock for a short period today and I bought a 2nd hand book about the Victorian Christmas and recipes. Lots of beautiful illustrations :-)
