A really beautiful house Rosa............and a splendid little series! You were lucky with the weather, and the light in the main image is lovely. I especially like the leading lines on the lawn and the long shadows.

I've just been browsing their website too............and we'll probably go and visit next year!

I can highly recommend it Keith and of course there are so many nice places to visit in and around Dorchester, as well as the Piddles and Puddle villages. Thank you for your kind comments. We were going to do the trip on Saturday but decided to wait until Sunday and very pleased that we did.

In the top photo, I love the way the lines in the grass lead the eye to the building.

I feel reassured, when I look at the second image, that coffee was on sale. LOL.

I love the framing in the third image of the coffee van by the tents. Great compositional technique!

Yes plenty of coffee but even more cider and gin!! A pity I'm allergic to cider...and me living in Somerset - Tragic!

The coffee seller was doing a roaring trade. Who would have thought it 10 years ago....selling just coffee from a van!?

No alcohol samples for me Peter, and I didn't even drive. All Dorset small producers, so a few Christmas presents bought.

Thank you Beatrice. The main marquees were at the side of the house, but there were also sellers in the main hall with its enormous open fire. A good place to warm up with a mince pie!

What a place to hold a Christmas Fair! A really beautiful house Rosa and a nice atmosphere. You must have bought some lovely presents and had a good time there!

It is so atmospheric Adele and always so happy and friendly there. The owners of the house still live in part of it, so a nice homely atmosphere. Yes, I did buy some special treats for Christmas presents ;-))

Love the main image Rosa, and with PiPs showing more closely what is going on make for a fine group. The colours and light of the main picture make a great presentation, the lines in the grass lead the eye nicely towards the location of all that free cider;-))

The main marquees were to the side and I think it was the lines that led us to all that free cider...or maybe not ;-)) I'm allergic to cider, but I made up for it with all the hand made chocolates! Thank you for all your kind comments.
