Hello Beatrice, I have passed this place many times but never been inside, until now. It was well worthwhile with such lovely staff and beautiful dining rooms. I don't see my sister very often so it was a treat to take her there for a meal, and my daughter came too.

Yes it was about three hours George :-) The food was a cut above the normal 'pub grub' and was delicious.

A charming series of pics Rosa..........all with lovely warm colours and great depth and detail.

Like many other commenters, I really like the bay window in the main image, it's really attractive and very welcoming. The pub frontage in the first PiP is really lovely with the climbing plants very nearly taking over! Inside it looks just as nice - some of those cocktail seem very interesting.

Is it just me or do you spend a lot of time in pubs? :-)))

Ha ha....it may seem that way Keith, but just as much time is spent in tea/coffee shops!
I don't really drink, so I volunteered to drive, but the food was outstanding.

What is an English 75???

It certainly is when my sister is here Tanja ;-))
I didn't know what an English 75 was but have just looked it up and this is the recipe:
Shake together gin, lemon juice, and rose water with ice until chilled. Strain into a chilled champagne flute and top with champagne or prosecco. Garnish with a thin wedge or slice of cucumber......fancy one ;-))

Uhhhh...I Love Gin!!!!

Looks like the perfect spot to spend awhile enjoying the food and beverages on offer. A great series of images Rosa, especially the one through the windows showing the inviting interior. Especially so when we are 'enjoying' 6 Deg.C with cold rain and a 'fresh' northerly breeze here today;-(

Oh my goodness, it's cold up there Doug! Yes it is a good place to spend some time, maybe by a warm log fire ;-)) I'm sure you have many such places nearby! This pub was particularly nice with very good staff I am pleased to say. Not quite so cold down here but a brisk wind!!
