Bruton is that kind of timeless town Edna. It has become a popular place to live for the foodie and arty types....but they still have to put up with us locals ;-))

Yes, it's a shame about the signs, but you've composed this shot so the larger signs hardly detract from the photo. It's a lovely little corner of the town, especially the restaurant, which is beautifully decorated for the festive season. As soon as you mentioned the words "Michelin Starred" I saw ££££ signs and small portions :-)))

The window in the first PiP looks gorgeous with the decorations.........I quite like the reindeer figures.

The cake in the window in the second PiP looks delicious (but I suspect it's not actually a "real" cake). If it is a real cake I'm even more impressed :-))

Yes, that's what I think of as well Keith ;-)) The building to the left is part of the restaurant. When I lived there many years ago, it was a chemist shop, but I can't remember what the main building was.

The first picture with the reindeers was a house down the ginnel and the other was a shop in the High Street. You're right, it's not a real cake ;-)

Restaurante adornado con profusión, para atraer clientes. Las bolas rojas muy efectistas. Las señales de tráfico deslucen un poco las fotos, pero están ahí para informar y salvar vidas porque con esa isleta y confluencia de calles parece un punto peligroso. La casa del escaparate con forma de tarta no estará ahí para hincarle el diente sino como reclamo. Las estrellas Michelín reducen los platos y, curiosamente, los encarecen. Rosa, que tengas buen fin de semana.

Assuming it's listed the signs are a disgrace at least two could be incorporated into the black tourist sign the bollards look as though they have been hit on numerous occasions can't they afford a reflective post. the decoration will be packed away now for 11 months, I hope you are having a nice weekend Rosalyn

If you hadn't told us about the road signs, dear Rosa, I wouldn't have noticed them, so well is this picture of this inviting restaurant composed!! The facade of this ancient building is so beautiful with its golden stonework and the decorations so lovely! The two windows in the pips are charming too, especially the one with the deer.
I wouldn't have eaten there , either... though this kind of restaurants is perfect if you are on diet!!;-))
