Toronto has had very little snow this winter, and there's none on the ground at the moment, so here's some snow that was here ten years ago.

This is Nordheimer Ravine.

Marvelous winter shot! Same here in NY. 7 inches in November, none since and no snow on the ground. :(

I'd be happy if the temperature were as high as it normally is when you don't have snow. But noooooooooooooo. Oh, well, saves wear and tear on the boots, and walking in and on snow is not my favourite pastime.

More than we have at the moment - which is fine for a bit. Places to go, people to meet stuff.

The lack of snow here is certainly simplifying the life I usually lead at this time of year.

Thanks, Diana. It was only 47 degrees colder here this morning when I went out. Once your blood has thickened, though, winter becomes more tolerable. I forgot to do up my coat and put on my gloves. I don't know that the body finds it as easy to adjust to heat, so the climate may be rougher for you at the moment.

Probably there is more snow to come in February, what do you think?

I think Europe is getting our snow on top of its own, Ruebenkraut.

The snow came before February, Ruebenkraut. It's been around for a while here, and we're being snowed in further at this very moment.

That snow is lovely. Looks just right to me. Love the man and his dogs giving scale. Scotland is mild and quite sunny frosty mornings at the moment. We're waiting to see if the snow in Europe reaches us by the weekend.

Thanks, Jean. I hope you escape the European snow. I think there's going to be a lot of work for European roofers. In aNNa schramm's neighbourhood at least, especially if people don;t follow this fellow's example:

While Southern Ontario has been less wintry than normal. Of course, the winters of 2013-14 and 2014-2015 were the worst I've been through in my long life.

The snow looks OK to me John...............maybe just a touch blue, but not unattractive.

I like your composition here............there are some nice leading lines in the snow, the person and dogs are good for scale and I like the fence!

Here (the South of England) it is quite windy, but fairly mild with the occasional frost! I woudn't mind a little snow to take photos of, but not too much otherwise the whole are comes to a grinding halt..!!

Thanks, Keith. I like that fence, too -- a nice touch of red. Red snow fences seem to be disappearing, too, with the orange plastic stuff being used more.

Since the Blizzard of 1999 Toronto has manged to keep its snow-removal equipment up to date, so the city hasn't been paralyzed by a snowstorm since. By ice storms, yes, but we don't get a lot of them.

An impressive field of snow. The perceived colour obviously is decided by our different monitors, on mine it's slightly yellow.

I actually see yellow in the small version, George. I did remove blue from the snow by adding red and green, or in effect yellow. I don't know why cameras don't have snow white balance.
