I fully understand the invasive powers of the agapanthus, George. When we lived in Norway for 5 years, I left agapanthus in pots. and they did well for a couple of years. But then the roots broke the pots and the seeds spread throughout the garden. These days we dig clumps up for composting! They are pretty when in flower though. The white ones aren't hardy in the UK.

Ditto here, George. They are cast iron plants....drought proof, frost proof....

Hard to believe that such a beautiful flower is considered a weed. A bit like rhododendron in Scotland, - they look glorious in flower but they do tend to take over

Thank you for your kind comments, everyone. I suspect that these do so well here they are impervious to tough seasons, which is why they become invasive when they escape from gardens.
