Nicely done Sami ... I do sincerely hope though that there was no need to change lenses on that shoot! ;)

I use compact camera ;-) And I was far from the smoke/dust. I'm actually not sure which one it was, smoke or dust. There was some machine on foreground, which gave me this nice "smoke effect".

Thanks Wertti =) There was luckily some machine on foreground where this smoke/dust came from, giving me this nice effect.

Wow. The dust gives such energy to the photo.

It was a lucky coincidence to get that smoke/dust on foreground. The demolition site is actually rather big and well surrounded by fences, which made it rather difficult to get two (or more) machines into the same picture =)

Yes, indeed =(

I like the way how the site is now turned to commemorate that tragic day.

Thank you Gillian =) Those terrible clouds of dust and ruins are what I remember best from that incidence. I saw the second hit live from TV, but especially those towers rumbling down was somehow even more horrifying view. Lake taking the last hope from people who were still in those towers.

Thank you Lutz =) Yes, that day will be remembered. But thinking that day also made me to update my own knowledge on many other horrors we human kind have done. For example this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aerial_bombing_of_cities

And Baldwin's argument, "The bomber will always get through": en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_bomber_will_always_get_through

Indeed Sami, I lived in one of those cities half of my life.

It is heart breaking to watch old document films and photographs, how people in Germany (and also elsewhere) had to start building somewhat everything again, sometimes with nothing else but their bare hands.
