Is this a metaphor for where we were with ipernity only a few months ago and are now free thanks to you and the others at IMA??
If so, it's a good one!!!

This has nothing to do with Ipernity. During my holidays I read 'Night Film' by Marisha Pessl, and watched 'Twin peaks: The Return', and those inspired me ;-)

Ouch;-) Brilliant idea! Here the filter works extremely well and it also looks 3D with that fisheye effect!

Not sure I see a miniature effect here

Miniature effect is only one outcome to achieve with the tilt-shift post processing method. What I wanted to achieve is a shallow depth of field added on a fish-eye image.

I recently bought a new clip on fish-eye lens for my mobile phone camera. As you may know, fish-eye lens usually produces a depth of field that is sharp somewhat all the way from close to infinity. That is the case especially with small censor cameras where the aperture is always small like a pinhole.

So, to get a shallow depth of field feeling on shots taken with a fish-eye lens, the somewhat only option is the post processing way.

Thank you Wertti =)

Well, I do like to "consume" certain type of entertainment (like Film Noir) to tune myself into certain creative ambiance, but I don't let it carry me away ;-)

It's a nice image Sami, but I'm afraid I don't think it's what tilt-shifting is about ... I'm not getting any sense of this being a miniature ... sorry! :(

Thanks Paul =)

Yes, I know tilt-shift effect (and post processing) is usually used to achieve "miniature" like outcome. But I wanted to try something different ;-)

Tilt shift should make your hand smaller, you got it backward, but otherwise a pic that makes one think

Thank you Wendi =)

Then I just misunderstood what the challenge was ;-)

I got over-carried by the effect itself... =P

Sorry I missed this one somehow Sami, I do try not to do that!

You always give the challenge a bit of a twist :) but you produce some interesting effects. All of those straight line that compose you confinement would have been a good shot for this weeks challenge with straight lines. :) Glad to hear you were able to make it to dinner. lol

Creepy, makes me think of Polanski's "Repulsion." That film blew my mind in 1965! Well, anyway, I like this.
