Such an array of colours along the trail Joe. I only know their collective name. I could never remember each variety, although I do know that the main picture shows Camellia Japonica!

Wonderful series, I love roses but in here they dont thrive, too dry, too hot. Some people succeed, but depends on their garden, most dont.

Thank you Isabel. Camellias grow very well here and are long lasting, except when we get excessive wind and rain! Roses are yet to bloom, but mine are looking good...so far.

The main image and the out-of-focus background (especially the sparkly bokeh) is stunning Rosa.........the red flowers stand out beautifully.

Two lovely PiPs as well..........the first one is gorgeous with the flower against the darker background. The flower in the second PiP is beautifully detailed, but is the yellow a sign that it's been frostbitten?

None of the camellias here look like this, They have all turned brown because of the late frosts. Yesterday we had heavy rain and hail showers, and today we've had heavy sleet showers. Roll on some better weather.

Some had been affected by the frosts on this trail Amelia, but thankfully most were still very colourful. They are quite sheltered by the surrounding woods. I was caught in a hailstorm today! Yes, roll on summer ;-))
