This sounds like an interesting walk Rosa..............and your photos seem to confirm it. All three have beautiful light and dappled shadows. I like the fallen tree in the main image, it's obviously been there a while and looks to be decaying nicely!

As you might expect I particularly like the 2nd PiP..............the coffee and chocolate elves seem to have been busy distributing essential supplies :-))

We bought two coffees and two cakes at Hinton Ampner today.............I couldn't believe how much it cost :-(

If I hadn't walked so far before reaching the woods, I would have done the whole circular walk, so I'll have to return sometime soon and complete it.

Something we have also noticed Keith! Trying to recoup lost income I suppose, but once the charges have gone up, they rarely come down again. My coffee from the little village Post Office was £1.30. The queue was long at the N.T. cafe, where I know it would have been almost double.

I think it is only 2 or 3 miles George. We didn't walk all of it as we had already walked a lot. I would love to do the complete circular walk at some point though. Many thanks for your kind comment.

It had to be done Tanja ;-)) Luckily the little Post Office had a coffee machine! Sophie has done this walk with her mum and dad. I used to bring her to Montacute when she was much younger, as they have a very good children's playground.
