I see a couple beating a hasty retreat, Rosa. They obviously didn't enjoy the singing. LOL. I love the tree as well as the beautiful architectural style of the church. I enjoyed reading the interesting information you provided. I hope you have a great weekend. Cheers, Joe

The skills of the carpenters were beautifully employed in the construction of this fine barn Rosa and it is quite a sight.

Lovely images and a very impressive building, Rosa. I guess COVID creates all manner of problems for choirs, so this is probably the best answer - if the weather co-operates!

The weather didn't co-operate in May, but June is much better George.
Many thanks for your kind comments.

I should have recorded them singing Sarah. I think you would have enjoyed it. I heard another choir somewhere in the town, but I couldn't locate them!! Thank you so much for your lovely comments. Take care and have a good weekend. Rosa.

What a beautiful moment, Rosalyn. It speaks of resilience and reminds us that our strength lies in adapting and finding new ways.
On a very personal note, the gentleman at the far right reminds me touchingly of my own father, who could not carry a tune to save his life, but wore an almost identical hat and was partial to checkered shirts. He had Parkinson and in the last years always stood with his head brought forward, much like this singer, for entirely different reasons, is doing. Thank you for this.

Thank you so much for your kind and interesting comments Annalia. It must be a bittersweet reminder for you, but I am pleased you you like the picture. Parkinson's is a horrible disease. Let us hope that the medical advances will one day find a cure.
Take care and have a good Sunday.
Best wishes.

Esa construcción con las vigas de madera como armazón para soportar la techumbre, tan antiguas, son una obra arquitectónica notable fuera o no de un arquitecto. Me he perdido la reunión con las "viejas glorias”:--)

The old buildings seem to still be the most beautiful Jose Manuel. I love all the old oak beams and construction methods used. Many thanks for your kind comments.

Hi Rosa
Nice to see some element of normality coming back!!
I do wonder, if mask wearing remains compulsory, can singing in church ever happen again?
Best Wishes, a nice weekend, and stay safe!!

Hi Peter,
I don't think choirs sing in churches at the moment. It's all open air.
I'm sure the G-7 meeting has solved all the problems.....hmmmm!!
Cornwall looks beautiful as ever though!
Best wishes & Sunday greetings,
Rosa.

A wonderful roof built by craftsmen with no expense spared, the entrance looks like a church, I wonder how long before the choir can perform in the traditional way. I hope you have a nice Sunday Rosalyn if you have a suitable tree a good day for sitting under it !!

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Peter Castell club
Yes, it's beautiful Peter. Not a church but the four entrances do look like it! It was a nice place for them to practice.
No peace today Peter, Sophie and family are coming over this afternoon. Just made a coffee cake. Hope you have a good sunny Sunday too.

What a lovely scene Rosa - and I love the idea of outdoors choir practice. I'd have been quite happy to sit and listen for a while.

I love the main image.............but the image in the PiP is absolutely stunning. You have the exposure spot on..........the light and details are marvellous. I love the beams holding up the roof..!!

I hope you had a good weekend and are looking forward to the week ahead.

We did thanks......Jackie went off to lunch with my oldest daughter and a friend on Saturday and left me on my own to loaf in the garden with a beer or two.

Sunday was a gardening day. I don't think I took a photo all weekend.

At the time they were not allowed to gather inside together, because of Covid regulations. They were a very good church choir and I enjoyed listening to them. It was my lucky day :-))

Thank you very much Günter. Good evening and good new week. Rosa.
