Great Chalfield Church

Heather...I was searching for the name of this plants...the second PiP is my absoulute favourite one Rosa...the lights there and crosses on every gable...and lichen all over...love that :)

A very nice set of pictures, which I suppose is appropriate for 'All Saints Day'!

Fantastic purple colours in the lower image (heather or lavender?), and great light in the top one!!

As the shadows increase, the church takes on a more imposing and severe aspect, but we can still see a little light caressing the bell tower!

Three beautiful images of this church. They are all so good it's hard to choose between them. The main image just pips the post for me. There is a lovely warm colour in the light and it shows off the tower to advantage. I like the way it strikes all the roof crosses too. Lovely sky as well.

I love all three images and I can see how difficult it was for you to decide on the main image, but I think you chose correctly. The light on the church is just heavenly (sorry, couldn't resist) and shows the spire and crosses perfectly.

Three fantastic studies in light and shade.................absolutely top-notch..!!

A really fine series Rosa. My favourite is the main image, mainly because of the dark clouds contrasting so well with the light falling on the church stonework and reflecting on the windows. Having said that I would be more than happy with any of the rest of the pictures.
