Frome looks like a lovely town to visit, Rosa. Some beautiful architecture, and shops that could cause a downward turn in one's bank account. ;-)

About 20 years ago the building along Catherine hill were starting to look really run down but since then, I think Frome at last realised what it had and have started to look after it. Thanks for your kind comments John.

Best wishes, Rosa.

More super images from Frome.............lots to look at end enjoy in them all. Highlights for me are the amount of detail you've captured in the buildings, the colours in the stonework, cobblestones and of course, that sheep!

Great work and thanks for sharing Rosa. It looks like a great place to visit..........I'd add it to my list, but I don't think I'm going to live long enough to get to all the places I've already got on it..!!

Here you show us some irresistible examples of the independent shops in Frome , Rosa! Definitely this lovely town is worth a visit! The main picture is so beautifully composed and shows treasures inside... and I love the colour of the window and of the door...and of course the sheep! :-) The PiPs look very interesting too..."deadly is the female"...what a title! ;-)

The name of the shop certainly caught my eye Adele! Frome is an interesting place as when you drive through you miss all of these little side streets. It has become a very 'arty' town...and they still have a theatre and old style cinema :-))
Thank you so much for your kind comments.

A lovely trio of pics, Rosa, of this charming Mendip town. Catherine Hill looks a bit too expensive for me. I would head for Cheap Street. LOL. Cheers, Joe

Some more great street scenes, I like the sheep !! the painted 'A' boards do at least look more in keeping. No snow it's been a nice sunny day although cold in the shade the frost lasted all day, snow is forecast Thursday/Friday another severe weather warning !! snowflakes indeed

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Peter Castell club
Thank you Peter. Just a light covering of snow yesterday and a frosty morning today. There is snow forecast for this afternoon. I think I will do my weeks shopping today instead of Friday!
Keep warm :)

Another wonderful shot of times past Rosalyn. All these shops have a sense of well being about them but I often wonder how they survive, They are full of quality and expensive items yet never seem to have any customers other than browsers.
Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to HappySnapper
Catherine Hill certainly does have the more expensive shops Maurice but when one goes another seems to take its place. They just have to hit on the right product I suppose. There is a really good market on the first Sunday of each month and all the shops open with it and they seem to do very well then. I'm more of a browser, except for the bakery ;-)

Hi Peter,

I would think Frome looks really nice in the snow. I wish I was able to get there, but the roads are not good enough....no gritting! I am pleased you like the sheep and many thanks for your great comments.

Best wishes, Rosa.
