A Walk in the Snow ~ 1

Oh Rosa, you love snow as much as me, don't you? ;-)
Looking at these charming pictures, I think of beautiful Christmas cards...snow adds a magical touch to trees, bushes, tiles..and you must have enjoyed taking these well composed shots!!

Yes I do love snow pictures Adele. The Christmas card idea would be good to raise money for the village hall. I will bear that in mind. Thank you so much for all your lovely comments.

A wonderful series of this winter wonderland Rosa. I always think snow creates the conditions for a timeless scene in that it hides double yellow lines etc. etc. Were you able to go back to any period in the last two hundred years, I doubt the scene would be much changed from that in your pictures.

Yes that's a very good point Doug! I really like snow scenes, but I am happy that it doesn't stick around for too long :) Thank you very much for your kind comments. There are quite a few old pictures of this village that a neighbour put together in a very interesting booklet recently, but there are none of the row of cottages that the house I live in replaced unfortunately.

This weather would have got me out of the house as well, it looks lovely and peacful in the snow! here it rains, so apart from the necessary shopping rounds I stayed inside;-)

Glorious! Still waiting for our first snow of the winter. The rest of Spain has had tons but not Madrid. We just get the extreme cold (so far!).

Yes I have seen from my Spanish friends on facebook that there has been a lot of snow in some areas! Enjoy your weekend.

Rosa, 3 fantastic winter shots, I like the first one best of all. We've been really cold, but no sign of snow, unlike the upper middle portion of the US. wow, they have had life threatening weather, and actually had around 30 deaths in this historic weather system....:((( Sarah

That's just their garage in their first shot Sarah!! The third one was taken from my front garden. I have seen Chicago on the news Sarah! Nothing quite like that here, thankfully. I hope it soon gets better for them. It's tragic when people die because of it.

Yes snow does wonders for the landscape. We have to be quick to capture it though....nearly all gone now!
