I'm glad that someone has ventured out today, Rosa. I have fetched in logs and coal and taken a couple of photos, but the wind is bitingly cold with snow being blown around from place to place, so I didn't go for a much needed walk. Lovely collage.

Not very much wind here Amelia. Apart from a short walk out early this morning, all the bird pictures were taken from a nice warm kitchen. Thank for your kind comments and take care..

Ah yes the old jackdaw (we always call them crows up our way). In fact I don't see too many in our garden but I see many of their Magpie cousins and the odd Jay. A fine selection here in the snow. Well seen and presented.

Cheers, Herb

That's strange, we don't get many Magpies! I have had quite a selection in the garden today, including 5 Redwings, which is amazing as I only ever see them when it's snowing and even then just the one! The collage is all the same Jackdaw. He's a bit of a regular :-)) Thank you for your kind comments. Regards, Rosa.

Had to rescue one of these once in our local club, it somehow came down the chimney but Couldn't get out, the fireplace was boarded up and had to remove it to free the bird, it surrendered it's self quiet easily and 20 minutes later it came back down the chimney again, so this time we put wire over the top of the chimney.

They do seem to like building their nests in chimney pots! Well done helping the poor bird.

I agree they are endlessly fascinating. I see many on the church roof near my bedroom window in Cornwall but every time I tried to get a shot they upped sticks!

Rosalyn Hilborne club has replied to Andy Rodker club
They are very nervous Andy. It seemed easier in the snow because they were so determined to get some food.
