- the morning visitor

- the morning visitor
for 2 minutes -
that is the longest one has been in the yard -
have seen 2 others -
a Doe -
and a very large Buck -
yet all have been here at separate times -

we all live in an area that once was woods -
so, we are really the visitors -
so far only thing eaten is some grass -

We have to be very careful at dusk and early morning --- driving most roads, they are seen .... going from one wooded area to another ..

Not this time around, Diane ... though when the Day lillies were blooming, had to spray them with a Deer Cocktail ... or all the buds would have been eaten ...

Deer Cocktail: soapy water in a spray bottle with hot sauce and a little salad oil
** It does work and harms nobody** -- the deer just don't like the hot sauce .. the rest of the spray helps keep unwanted bugs off ...

That's a great idea! Wish I'd had that recipe when I lived in the woods. I usually had luck with deer-resistant plants, but not always.
