1742 Camptogramma bilineata ssp. hibernica (Yellow Shell)

Geometridae, Larentiinae - Wingspan: 26-32mm.

A common yellow species throughout the UK, there are a number of variety sub-species listed. The above form, is listed as a brownish sub-species, ssp. hibernica, in Western Ireland, but this specimen was recorded in a coastal area of West Cornwall.

The general flight season ranges from May to September, peaking in July and August.
