Treasure of the forest
Can never resist photographing Puffballs when I come across them. I found this old tree stump, with quite a beautiful display of these Puffballs, while waiting for friends to arrive at the meeting place for a Mushroom Foray at West Bragg Creek, W of Calgary, on 24 August 2013.

As mentioned, amazingly intact ... about 60-70% of the ones I see are not and see limited varieties ... terrific colours and textures ... well taken and presented!! A great find too ...
