No more than a glimpse

No more than a glimpse
This is the only shot I could get of this juvenile White-tailed buck, with only one antler showing - the report said that the right antler was bent back, but I didn't see it. This deer was a long way off, through a tangled mass of bushes and trees - amazingly, my camera happened to focus on one ear and the all-important antler. Seen in South Glenmore Park during a bird walk, on 17 October 2013.

Great capture Anne ... and in photography, timing is one's luck ... great timing to get this excellent shot and superb lighting ... if this has another anther ... it is very well hidden!! White-tailed Deer may grow deformed antlers as a result of an injury ... but once broken, it will not grow back!!
