Lovely view. Such different scenic response to granite, compared with the Devon and Cornwall granites.

Curious about the small feature on the rock at (0.6, 0.5). Is it a waymark? I remember from my walking in the Canary Islands that the Spanish national park authorities are very good at placing them discretely, but just where you need them.

Thank you, Earthwatcher; not a waymark (although there are perhaps too many of them in this Sierra and not enough in the more remote Sierra de Gredos) but a small metal plaque honouring 3 local men who were killed by Napoleonic soldiers here. My Spanish wasn't good enough then to translate the short story it related and I meant to take a photo of it but each time I returned I forgot!
