Crane Island rock. for Pam.

Crane Island rock. for Pam.
More or less the half way point on my favourite low tide rock hop!
Sadly, since 2013, I haven't been able to do this walk as a storm re-configured part of the coast, rendering progress at one particular point impossible.

Dimas Sequeira, Nouchetdu38, Erhard Bernstein, Martine and 35 other people have particularly liked this photo

Oh this is a superb angle for this picture. Such a shame that you can't go down there anymore because of erosion.

Thanks, Jenny!
I can get to this point but I can't do my complete coastal low tide route between the rocks any more. I can do half of my old walk one day and the other half the next but it isn't the same!

Beautiful view and nice to be down by the sea. We find that each winter reconfigures waterfalls and trails in the mountains. Love skiing but am getting a bit too old and brittle for it. Hurling down a mountainside at my age is probably not conducive to good health and safety. As a result we've turned to snowshoeing which provides plenty of winter activity in the mountains and is a much more sedate occupation.

It's "skied" and its Ron, not Steve.

Thank you Steve.
With "skied", I just got the feeling yesterday that this spelling looked all wrong. I get that with some very basic words on occasion too!

Coasts change, and sometimes they change very quickly. We can no longer go down from the cliffs onto a beach via a metal staircase. The whole cliff just fell into the sea leaving the stairs going nowhere. At least you can still do this walk in two sections, Andy.

What a pity that you can't walk right around. It is such an interesting coastline! I could spend ages poking around in a place like that!
