Pednvounder Beach and Logan Rock, Porthcurno, and two distant yachts.. Of course this one's for Pam too!

The Promontory is commonly known as Logan Rock but it must have a proper name as Logan Rock only refers to a once rocking stone on the top.
The area around the isthmus and a bit landward is the site of a defended ancient settlement called Trereen Dinas (South). 'South' to distinguish it from a similarly named ancient settlement site on Gurnard's Head on the north coast. But I just can't find out the name for the promontory as a whole!.

Horace? Yes it does, but only because I once advised a family of elderly siblings, named Horace, Boris, Maurice ... and of course, Doris! (I forget their surname!!!).
Otherwise no ... but thanks for looking into it. I have never found another name either.

My only camera between December 2010 and August 2012 was my Nokia N95 camera-phone. A much better camera than a phone!

From memory (and I hope I'm corrected if wrong)
Trereen, Treryn or today Treen = farm or settlement on a promontory and
Dinas = castle.
So, fortified settlement on a promontory.
Not particularly special to me, Roger (although both sites are wonderful places), just that I have been familiar with the name and sites (both South and North) all my life!
