A visit to Crummock Water
Our second full day here in the Lakes and its Crummock Water for us, despite the bad weather forecast and a constant drizzle as we set off. - So here we are just starting along this muddy Western shore from the South. Rain gear donned and a quick wipe to clear the water drops from my lens,to capture this one. I am sure that this is the average look of the lake and its surroundings. Fortunately, the weather was to improve before we got back.

Hi Rosa to the first of my Crummock Water shots here. The week before we went was hot and dry -typical for us! The weather on this walk did improve though. Glad you liked it.

You certainly know how to make the best of the weather Herb.............this is a really beautiful image! I love the misty and hazy background - the hills are no less impressive for it - and the diffused light. I also like the detail you've captured in the foreground, especially in the grasses.

Hi Keith, living in the North West of England, you have to be used to taking pictures in this type of weather. As usual, I am most gratified that you have enjoyed the elements of this capture. I have always enjoyed taking photos in the mist but this mist was created by the constant heavy drizzle too. More to come from here.

The rain is not very pleasant to walk, i agree
But the fog allows beautiful images ... indescribable, vague.. and the light is always very special
