Son Marroig fence

The Wonders of Mallorca: Deia – Son Marroig

This wonderful structure belongs to what is now the museum and grounds of ‘Son Marroig’, a beautiful 19th century manor that was owned by the Austrian Habsburgs. It was an emblematic possession in Deia where Archduke Ludwig Salvator lived.
From here a wonderful garden path leads us to a trail down to the sea far below where more wonderful views and a fabulous little restaurant awaits.

A beautifully captured series Herb. The domed temple is really lovely and looks wonderful in the sunshine. I especially like the way the stone has weathered over time.

I was torn between the main image and the first PiP - but I've decided the main image is marginally the best due to the gorgeous cloud formations, but both are excellent!

Thanks for this Keith. The first Pip was my first choice to put here on Thursday but I then realised it would make a good HFF picture too. On deciding to enter this the, the alternative with slightly more fence and sky was the best fence picture in my opinion. (But I still prefer the other as a photo:)) Glad you also shared my enjoyment of the clouds too.
