Lakeside fallen tree

Lakeside fallen tree
On our way back now to our start-point here on Crummock Water. A nice bit of colour on this rather grey day brightens things up a little before the next set of rains. Nearby a rather nice fence for a future HFF perhaps.
Enjoy full screen.

Looks like you have a good day for some more Autumnal shots my friend. Have a great walk in that familiar to me area. I look forward to seeing your crop of photos from there.

Cheers, Herb

Fallen trees are a great subject Herb. This one looks very sculptural with autumn leaves being eaten by something with a large mouth. Can you see it.....or is it just me!! Good shot with great back drop. Cheers, Rosa.

Thanks for this Rosa. Yes this had a fine shape and vibrant colours despite the flat light. I am afraid I cannot see what you are seeing but that is photography for you.

This is a superb example, with fantastic shapes and with brush strokes orange

Yes, the master sculpture shows his work here. He is certainly a better artist than me. Glad you liked it.

I really like the shape of the fallen tree and the details and colour you've captured. It'll be covered in fungi by now I expect! I love the lush-looking grass as well.

A beautiful background...........very atmospheric with the mist covered mountain tops. Great definition in the clouds as well.

Very nicely taken sir!

A lovely shot, Herb! And if there isn't a healthy colony of stag beetles there, I'll want to know the reason why!
