The Wonders of Mallorca: The peninsula of Sa Foradada

The Wonders of Mallorca: The peninsula of Sa Foradada
As we almost come to the bottom of our steep trek down to the waters edge and lunch stop, we see the beautiful view of this small peninsular as seen from the nearby restaurant.
As I look at this view again, I wonder how that hole in the rocks was made.

Enjoy full size.

The green vegetation, the stunningly colored rocks, the blue sea and sky, everything flooded by the southern light
Amazing image that condenses the beauty of this island, Herb
In limestone / clayey rocks, erosion causes surprising effects like this one

Thank you Judite. Yes, I have seen much erosion like that over here on our British coast too. This red coloured rock, is particularly prone to such erosion I think. Many thanks for your input here.

Keep safe, Herb

Yes, clay exposed to atmospheric conditions is easy to erode
Thanks, Herb

Beautifully framed through the trees.........the rock peninsular looks fantastic in the sunshine. The detail and textures are fantastic, especially when viewed large. I like the different blue tones of the sea and sky and the sailing boat gives us a good idea of scale.

A perfect place for a lunch stop!

Yes, the sizes here are hard to gauge but the boat helps for sure.
