Smoke on the Water
Smoke drifting in from the wildfires south of us. Santa Cruz, which is branded on the jacket of the guy to the left, is heavily impacted, and they just evacuated the University there.
There are fires to the north and to the east.

HFF and a happy weekend.
The soft light creates a very particular contrast with the "muddy" stain in the sky from the fire and I can almost hear the two guys commenting disconsolately as they watch the smoke engulfing the horizon. Even without your informative caption, this shot tells the story so well.
